The Environmental Bioprocessing Lab is equipped with the necessary infrastructure required for conducting fermentations as well as microbiological, chemical and molecular biology analyses including a fully automated bioreactor, RT-qPCR Thermal Cycler (Analytik Jena – qTOWER 3), nanophotometer (Implen – NP80), GC-TCD, 6 incubators, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, COD reactors, ovens, laminar flow cabinet, centrifuges, autoclave, etc. Additionally, the group has access to the existing infrastructure of DEST in CUT that includes a considerable number of state-of-the-art equipment (ICP-MS, HPLC-UV, GC-FID, FTIR, Fluorometer, TOC analyzer, Soxhlet extractor, Rotary evaporator, Kjeldahl, etc). The group has expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis of components in aqueous/organic solutions and in solid state.
