- 2019: Maria Kyriakou – Awarded the “Best Oral Presentation Award“ by IBA-IFIBiop 2019 that was held in Miri (Malaysia) for her work in the development of biochar-based biocatalysts for bioethanol production.
- 2018: Publons Peer Review Award 2018 for placing in the top 1% of reviewers in the global reviewer database during the 2017-2018 award year.
- 2015: Michalis Koutinas – Awarded the “Elsevier Outstanding Reviewer Status“ for being in the top 10th percentile in terms of the number of reviews completed for Biochemical Engineering Journal in the past two years.
